Broadening our horizons

Dave: Did you ever read "The Grapes of Wrath?"

Me: No.

Dave: You should.

Me: Why?

Dave: Because it's one of the great novels of our time!

Me: Have you ever read it?

Dave: I don't think so.

I agree, even though I haven't read it. (But I have read "Of Mice and Men" bu the same author, and it is very memorable.

That's hilarious. I read it when I was 16. I don't think I appreciated it as much as I should have, but I don't really have any desire to read it again. . .

hahhah! I love it! I'm reading one of those sposed to be a big deal books, "100 years of Solitude." It's kicking my butt. I want to be done. My sister loves Grapes of Wrath though. Maybe I'll read it someday.

I read it in high school. It's.....um......Steinbeck......dust bowl.......breastfeeding......

That's about all I remember. Maybe I need to broaden my own horizons.

Dude... don't read it. I read it in AP English my senior year and I thought it was miraculous that I lived to tell about it. A modern day miracle.

Everything wonder woman said is true... in addition to a turtle taking an entire BRAIN NUMBINGLY BORING chapter to cross the dang road.

It's only a classic because they didn't have the Harry Potter and Twilight series back in the day. (interestingly, I've not read either of those series.)
