Will trade for a pistol

We are moving into our new house next week and we have been considering the purchase of a secondhand fish tank.

Browsing the KSL classified ads tonight, we saw several ads for aquariums (from different people) that said "Will trade for a pistol" or "Will consider a trade for firearms."

It made my husband and I both wonder, what's the connection between guns and fish tanks? And is there an equal number of people looking to trade in their firearms for aquariums?

I wonder if it's an indication that more people are considering that they might need a firearm. I don't like to think about that.

I actually wondered about this the other day. If it is a good idea to have food storage, wouldn't we likely need protection if everyone around us is desperate for food? Don't worry, no guns for us... that's why we are getting a Mastiff. ;)

I heard someone mention lately that perhaps the reason we need a year's supply is so that we'll have enough to share with our neighbors for a shorter period. That makes sense to me.

I was going to say "perhaps they'd like to shoot fish in a barrell" but seeing as how it's a trade for their aquarium...maybe they just want to shoot their fish.
We have a paintball gun at our house. that should keep the bad guys away. Or at the very least, allow us to easily mark them for police descriptions.

Perhaps more people are trying to stock up on guns before the change in leadership in this country. I think it will be tougher to get a gun.

Or maybe it just seemed to be a fair trade? Funny.
